The Air, Car and Boat Show is a huge weekend event set for August 12-14 and will thrill visitors from land and air. Offering everything from the P-63 King Cobra and DH-115 Vampire to the iconic Ghostwriter pyrotechnic display aircraft with daring pilots, this unique air show will have daytime and evening performances twisting, rolling and howling through the air. ways to light up the night sky. Diving in the Gulf: Exposure
Diving in the Gulf: Exposure will be held August 19-21 and provides an opportunity for the SCUBA, science, conservation, arts and education communities to come together for a special weekend. In addition to booths and vendors, guests can meet experts and presentations from a variety of organizations, including the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary, Texas A&M University Galveston, the Diver Alert Network, which is dedicated to improving diver safety, and more. Participants can even pre-register, bring their swimsuits, and dive in to try out the SCUBA and diving opportunities. Tickets are also available for community dinners and more diving camaraderie.
Island Ride Out and Bike Expo: August 26-28
Moody Gardens turns into a cycling hub August 26-28. The 18-mile ride on beautiful Galveston Island is the main event combined with the Bike Show, featuring the latest gear and celebrity launches. Cyclists can choose from several “Discover It Yourself” tours, check out the Bike Pub Crawl, Reserved Back Alley Bike Zone, and the Saturday Night Palm Beach Party with fireworks for Rideout participants and hotel guests, and Sunday’s Breakfast with the Pros. in the morning.
