“Lacombe city council is very excited to have a proven local business like Vesta Energy take on the naming rights of the Eastside Recreation District,” said Mayor Grant Creasy. “Vesta’s commitment to local communities is commendable, and I know Lacombe dog owners, fish and game enthusiasts, and outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds will enjoy Vesta Energy Fish & Fetch Park for years to come.”
Mark Lansing, VP HSE and Sustainability, Vesta, said the company is excited.
“Supporting the development of community outdoor activity space fits perfectly with our sponsorship platform, which aims to support and enrich the local communities in which we operate,” he says. “We look forward to using Vesta Energy Fish & Fetch Park, Lacombe’s newest recreation area.”
The park now has a fully fenced dog park, including agility equipment, solar lighting, drinking water, dedicated parking and a small dog area.
Adjacent to the new dog park, the Lacombe Fish & Game Association has improved the west pond area, including a new aerator, casting docks and a footbridge that improves overall access and functionality in the park.
