We’re gearing up for our fall seed sale and wanted to take a moment to answer some of the most common questions we receive in our inbox.
We hope this article gives you all the information you need to prepare for the upcoming seed sale.
What day will your fall seeds be ready and what varieties will they include?
Seeds will go on sale on September 7th at 9am PDT. We’ll offer over 30 varieties of fragrant, long-stemmed sweet peas and a large selection of our favorite hardy annuals. You can browse all the varieties on sale here.
Will there be another seed sale this year?
This is our last seed sale for 2022. Be sure Sign up for our newsletter to be notified of future seed sales.
Will the items in my cart be kept for me?
Items are removed from inventory as purchases are completed, which is unfortunately out of our control. For this reason, the items in your cart will not be saved. For the best shopping experience, we recommend making your list and checking out as soon as possible.
Where else can I buy seed when you are sold out?
Although we are increasing the number of seed packets we offer this fall, we expect to sell out quickly. Be sure to read our blog post for a full list of our favorite local and international seed companies Floret’s Favorite Specialty Seed Sources.
What does it mean if a variety says “Sold Out”?
Items marked “Sold Out” will likely not be restocked this fall. Be sure to use the “Email when available” button in the product description to be notified when the range you’re interested in is back in stock.
What does it mean when a product says “Discontinued”?
We no longer offer dahlia tubers, bulbs and corms and some seed varieties. Because so many gardeners refer to our photos and descriptions, we have chosen to keep these varieties on our site, but have added ‘Discontinued’ to indicate they are no longer available.
How do I know when to plant hardy annuals?
We wrote a post about our favorite hardy annuals and how to grow them from seed. You can read here.
I would like to collect seeds, but I won’t plant them until next year. How should I store them?
The seeds can be stored in a cool, dry place where pests and rodents cannot reach them. A plastic tub or mason jar (with a lid) placed in the garage or basement works great.
When will my order be shipped?
We will fulfill your order as soon as possible, but we cannot guarantee delivery times from shipping carriers. Current shipping delays will be reported at the top of the cart page when you check out.
Can I combine separate orders or remove an item from my order?
Once the order is placed, it is printed immediately and then the order is placed in our packaging queue. Unfortunately, due to our small team and the volume of orders we process in a short period of time, we are unable to combine orders placed separately or change an order once it has been placed.
Can I add items to my order?
Because we do not have access to your credit card information, we are unable to change your order once you have placed it.
Will books and tool belts be available during the fall seed sale?
If you would like to purchase a book or tool belt, we recommend purchasing it before the seed sale. To facilitate the order packing process, we will be removing books, tool belts, cutters and pruners from inventory on September 6th. These items will go back on sale on September 13th.
I’m trying to figure out how to make a wish list. Where did he go?
Despite our best efforts, the wishlist feature on our site has never worked properly on busy sales days. We have decided to remove this feature until we find a better solution. This year we suggest making a list of your wishes on paper. Thank you very much for your understanding.
Can you ship seeds internationally?
